The invention relates to fishing accessories and can be used for balancing a spinning rod or some other form of fishing equipment. The problem addressed by the invention being claimed is to enable balancing of a fishing rod. The technical result of the device being claimed for balancing a fishing rod consists in simplifying the design and improving the operational characteristics, including the ability to accurately adjust the position of the rod's centre of mass without changing the rod's overall parameters so that the device does not come loose and does not drop during operation, does not impede an angler and makes it possible to promptly change the rod's centre of gravity without removing the device or individual weights. The device for balancing a fishing rod is in the form of a ring which is manufactured from an elastic material, for example an elastic polymer, inside which weights are arranged. The weights can be made of metal and are insulated from environmental impact by the material of the ring.
