PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new TAC surgery that can create a heart failure model animal with probability higher than before, and further can adjust an extent of heart failure of the heart failure model animal obtained.SOLUTION: A creation method of a heart failure model animal is characterized by: inserting a tip of a catheter with a pressure sensor from a right carotid artery of an animal to an ascending aorta ensuring rise in the systolic blood pressure of the heart of the animal measured by the catheter with the pressure sensor, while tightening a transverse aorta of the animal with thread determining strength for tightening a transverse aorta of the animal, based on the measured systolic blood pressure and creating constriction by the determined strength.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT【課題】従来よりも高い確率で心不全モデル動物を作製でき、さらに得られる心不全モデル動物の心不全の程度を調整できる新規のTAC手術を提供する。【解決手段】心不全モデル動物の作製方法は、圧センサ付カテーテルの先端を動物の右頚動脈から上行大動脈にまで挿入し、動物の横行大動脈を糸で締め付けながら、圧センサ付カテーテルにより測定される動物の心臓の収縮期血圧の上昇を確認し、測定された収縮期血圧に基づいて、動物の横行大動脈を締め付ける強さを決定し、該決定した強さで狭窄を作製することを特徴とする。【選択図】図1
