PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper which secures a wide gap of an air passage formed when a waist stretchable member is contracted and improves air permeability and touch to the skin.SOLUTION: On a front body section and/or a back body section, a cushion part 40 is formed. The cushion part includes an inner sheet 41, an outer sheet 42, one or more waist stretchable members 43, and a cushion formation sheet 44. The waist stretchable members are fixed between the inner sheet and the outer sheet in the state that they are stretched along a width direction. The cushion formation sheet is put on the inner sheet and/or the outer sheet and is joined in the way that joint parts 51 and non-joint parts 52 are formed by turns in the width direction.
