PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of controlling glyphosate-resistant horseweed in glyphosate-tolerant, glufosinate-tolerant, 2,4-D-tolerant, dicamba-tolerant or imidazolinone-tolerant crops.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for performing synergistic control of selected weeds by means of a herbicidal composition containing (a) a substituted phenoxy alkanoic acid derivative of a 2,4-D dimethylamine salt represented by the specified formula and (b) a herbicidal glyphosate component.
