PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bamboo shoot skin peeler that can simply, efficiently and safely perform skin peeling (removal of the skin) of a bamboo shoot, for example, of a "nemagari" bamboo, a wild bamboo in fields and mountains.SOLUTION: The peeler is configured to have an outer cylinder with one end of the cylinder as an opening and the other end as an inserting port for a bamboo shoot, wherein an inner body is formed by vertically splitting a cylinder having a smaller diameter than that of the outer cylinder. The inner body is housed in the outer cylinder, with an opening side of the inner body mounted with a blade, and with the other side brought into slidable contact axially with the outer cylinder on the sides.
