PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical image diagnostic apparatus, an image processing apparatus and an image processing method, capable of easily obtaining a rendering image suitable for observing an object.SOLUTION: A medical image diagnostic apparatus includes a setting part 16a, a rendering part 16c, and a display control part 16d. The setting part 16a sets a viewpoint position and a calculation end position different from the viewpoint position, on an image of a subject. The rendering part 16c performs rendering processing targeting a range in a direction toward the calculation end position from the viewpoint position and ahead of the calculation end position on the basis of volume data of the subject to generate a rendering image. The display control part 16d displays the rendering image on a display part.【課題】対象物を観察するために適したレンダリング画像を容易に得ることができる医用画像診断装置、画像処理装置及び画像処理方法を提供すること。【解決手段】医用画像診断装置は、設定部１６ａと、レンダリング部１６ｃと、表示制御部１６ｄとを備える。設定部１６ａは、被検体の画像上で視点位置及び当該視点位置と異なる計算端部位置を設定する。レンダリング部１６ｃは、前記被検体のボリュームデータに基づいて、前記視点位置から前記計算端部位置へ向かう方向で、かつ、前記計算端部位置から先の範囲を対象としてレンダリング処理を行ってレンダリング画像を生成する。表示制御部１６ｄは、前記レンダリング画像を表示部に表示する。【選択図】図１
