PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon catheter for assisting treatment, which can be applied in the state of inserting a treatment catheter in a body, having high backup performance necessary for passing the treatment catheter through a narrow section, and also capable of performing anchor technique more safely and simply than the conventional method of inserting and fixing a balloon catheter in a blood vessel of a lateral branch.SOLUTION: A balloon catheter for assisting treatment includes a lumen in which a treatment catheter is inserted. The balloon catheter for assisting treatment includes: a monorail tube having an inner peripheral surface guided to slide along the outer peripheral surface of the treatment catheter and a balloon provided on the outer peripheral side of the monorail tube.
