PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a dentifrice to efficiently produce a dentifrice resistant to discoloration during storage.SOLUTION: The method for producing a dentifrice includes: a step to prepare a premix by mixing a component (A) of an inorganic oxide with a component (B) of a sweetener at a (B)/(A) mass ratio of 1/10 to 1/1 and a step to mix the premix with at least one component selected from a group consisting of a binder, a wetting agent, an abrasive agent and a foaming agent, and a perfume and water.
