PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood pressure information measuring instrument following a volume compensation method, which avoids excessive pressure in a measurement region.SOLUTION: The blood pressure information measuring instrument includes: a servo control part 106 for performing the servo control of a pressure adjustment unit 50 in order to allow the value of an artery volume signal to coincide with a control target value and a fluctuation detecting part 110 for detecting the rapid fluctuation of an artery volume signal in an initial stage during the period of servo control. The fluctuation detecting part 110 determines that the rapid fluctuation occurs when a control deviation, which indicates the level of the artery volume signal with the control target value as reference, becomes equal to or more than the prescribed magnification of a reference deviation.
