PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mosquito inducing and trapping device capable of trapping more mosquitoes.SOLUTION: A mosquito inducing and trapping device (10；10A) includes: a case (50)； an ultraviolet irradiation part (80) capable of irradiating ultraviolet light to a photocatalyst (111) accommodated in the case (50)； a suction part (70) for sucking ambient air from one end (50d) of the case (50)； and a collection part (40) that faces the other end (50c) of the case (50) capable of collecting mosquitoes (M) sucked by the suction part (70) together with ambient air. The case (50) is fitted with a light shielding plate (100) extending from the one end (50d) of the case (50) to the neighborhood of the ultraviolet irradiation part (80) that, while allowing inflow of ambient air into the case (50), suppresses leakage of ultraviolet light from the one end (50d).
