According to the invention, the machine comprises a traction bar (3) integral with a stator (1), some cylindrical rollers (6) allowing a rotor (2) to rotate, some hinges (33) making the connection to a cutter (83) and other hinges (77) making the connection to an undercarriage (75) on which there is mounted a copying wheel (49) which drives a transmission chain (60) on which there is mounted a system for gripping a tree, which actuates some switches (159, 160 and 197) placed on a chassis (172) on which some settling wheels (64) are mounted.
