The fixing stand includes a base member, a support column projecting perpendicularly upwards from the base member, a pedestal mount attached to an upper end portion of the support column, a retaining member attached to the pedestal mount, a clamping implement, and a chin rest. The fixing stand is configured such that the head-mounted display is detachably mounted to the retaining member using the clamping implement.
