Hie invention relates to a tomosynthesis process in the context of marwnography, in which several individual images of a breast are taken at different projection angles and in which of information thus acquired, tomographic images are synthesized with the help of an applicable image processing software. Hie mutual geometry of the imaging means of the imaging apparatus when taking these individual images is determined according to the invention by arranging in the imaging apparatus a calibration structure (20), which includes balls (21) or other small objects absorbing X-radiation which are such placed that their projections will become imaged on said individual images.L'invention concerne un procédé de tomosynthèse mis en œuvre dans le contexte d'une mammographie, dans lequel plusieurs images individuelles d'un sein sont prises à différents angles de projection et dans lequel des images tomographiques sont synthétisées, à partir des informations ainsi acquises, à l'aide d'un logiciel de traitement d'images applicable. La géométrie mutuelle des moyens d'imagerie de l'appareil d'imagerie lors de la prise de ces images individuelles est déterminée selon l'invention par agencement dans l'appareil d'imagerie d'une structure d'étalonnage (20), qui comprend des billes (21) ou d'autres petits objets absorbant les rayons X qui sont placés de telle sorte que des images de leurs projections se trouveront sur lesdites images individuelles.
