Use of tectoridin and an extract containing thereof for preparation of medication for treatment of lung inflammation is provided, including administering to a subject in need thereof a therapeutically effective dose of tectoridin. According to the present invention, levels of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and interleukin-1β (IL-1β) can be decreased, and expression levels of versican and connective tissue growth factor (CTGF) can also be decreased by administering tectoridin so as to improve Inflammatory reaction in the lung tissue.
