PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vitreous cut-off instrument capable of reliably cutting off a vitreous body.SOLUTION: A vitreous cut-off instrument 1 comprises a hollow external tube 10 with an opening 11 in the peripheral surface of its distal end and a spiral cutting member 30 provided within the external tube 10 in a rotatable manner. An edge part 30a formed along the outer edge of the cut-off member 30 is exposed from the opening 11 to cut off the vitreous body, takes it into the external tube 10, and conveys it to a proximal end side.
