Provided is a pharmaceutical composition comprising telmisartan and hydrochlorothiazide. Specifically, the present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising telmisartan as an angiotensin II receptor antagonist and hydrochlorothiazide as a diuretic. In the pharmaceutical composition of the present invention, the core of telmisartan is first-coated with polyvinyl pyrrolidone as the inactive and water-soluble polymer, and then is second-coated with a mixture including the diuretic (i e., hydrochlorothiazide) and polyvinyl pyrrolidone to afford an excellenl dissolution rate for the diuretic, and the pharmaceutical composition thus obtained is far smaller and lighter than the conventional formulation as being marketed, becoming much easier to take for a patient, and thus can be more advantageously utilized in the medical industries.
