Use of an antigen derived from the circumsporozoite protein (CS) protein of Plasmodium falciparum in the manufacture of a medicament for vaccinating infants against malaria
Disclosed is the use of an antigen derived from the circumsporozoite protein (CS) protein of Plasmodium falciparum which is expressed at the pre-erythrocytic stage of malarial infection in combination with a pharmaceutically acceptable adjuvant, in the manufacture of a medicament for vaccinating infants against malaria wherein the target population is infants 1 week old to 50 weeks old and the CS antigen is fused to the surface antigen from hepatitis B (HBsAg).
