The present invention relates to an X-ray detector capable of acquiring two or more X-ray image signals having different energy levels from an X-ray having a predetermined energy level and an X-ray imaging method capable of realizing a high quality X-ray image, in which desired body tissues are emphasized, by using the X-ray detector. Specifically, the X-ray detector according to the present invention comprises: first and second X-ray detection units arranged in the traveling direction of an X-ray and generating X-ray image signals by detecting the X-ray and a filter interposed between the first and second X-ray detection units to increase a difference between two energy levels.
