PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase electric current density when a high-frequency current is applied to a second electrode part with the second electrode part abutting on a submucosal layer by forming the second electrode part which is mounted on a head part provided at a distal end of a first, barlike electrode of a high-frequency treatment instrument and is used for a dissection or the like into a non-circular shape to achieve an efficient treatment.
SOLUTION: The head part 14 connected to the distal end of the first electrode 13 comprises a proximal end side electric insulating part 15, the second electrode part 16, and a distal end side electric insulating part 17. Quadrilateral protruding parts 18, 19 are formed on both a surface and a back face of the second electrode part 16. A recessed part 21 in which the protruding part 19 is fit approximately in a tight-fit state is formed on a joining surface of the distal end side electric insulating part 17 to the second electrode part 16. The respective parts are connected in a manner not to have irregular parts on the circumferential part of the body. Screw holes 22a, 22b, 22c are formed on the part 15, the second electrode part 16, and the distal end side electric insulating part 17, and a male screw part 13a at the distal end part of the first electrode 13 is screwed in the screw holes.
