PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to perform vertical and horizontal occlusion as well as perform treatment for infraocclusion, by not only making an upper jaw model set on an articulator rise and fall freely around a spindle corresponding to a temporomandibular joint but also making the upper jaw model horizontally rotate around a rear vertical shaft corresponding to a medial atlantoaxial joint.SOLUTION: A dental articulator includes: a lower jaw model mounting base 1 having a lower jaw model mounting disc 1b for mounting a lower jaw model M1, at the center of the base lower support arms 2 provided at left and right ends of rear part of the mounting base so as to extend upwards a rotation shaft bar 5 vertically provided behind the arms at the center in the left and right direction a horizontal fixed surface plate 4 stretched between upper ends of the left and right lower support arms 2 a rotation plate 6 that is mounted on the fixed surface plates upper surface and is capable of rotating around a shaft center line 5c of the rotation shaft bar 5 and upper support arms 7 provided so as to be erected on left and right ends of the rotation plate. A rear part of an upper jaw model mounting frame 8, below which an upper jaw model M2 is mounted between upper ends of the left and right upper support arms 7, is pivotally supported on the upper support arms 7 so as to be freely rise and fall.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT
