PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aspirator suited to aspiration of viscous aspiration objects.SOLUTION: The aspirator for applying an aspiration pressure for aspirating an aspiration object from a patient, to an aspiration passage, includes: a flow sensor 5 as detection means for detecting at least a flow rate Q of the aspiration passage as a physical quantity representing a flowing state in the aspiration passage a pump 4 as pressure adjusting means for adjusting the aspiration pressure applied to the aspiration passage and a control unit 10 that, on the basis of the detection result of the flow sensor 5, when the flow rate of the aspiration passage decreases, controls operation of the pump 4 according to the flow rate so as to increase the aspiration pressure P.
