The air filter and humidifier for indoor use( based on previous claim DE 19547505.4) employs plants in a pot through which air circulates. The plant pot (1) has a circular grille forming a supplementary external shaft (7) with annular chambers (9). Around the inner shaft (6) the plant pot (1) lower zone has apertures (8) for circulating air (21) and roots, the ring grilles (9) between the pot (1) shafts (6, 7) being filled with large pieces of adsorptive granulate (20). The granulate (20) has an air take-up (1 1) cover, which may also surrender air. In the upper section, the pot (1) annular tank (17) and outer shaft (7) has indentations which accommodate an electric ventilator ( 9) which is linked to the air take-up (11). A raised plant base (1 3) has a clamp applied to the pot base. The pot cover (18) functions as a filter housing and holds the tank (17) and plant pot (1), the plant roots (earth or hydroculture) being embedded in the granulate.
