A cleansing device for cleaning a body cavity is provided to a user. The cleansing device comprises an inner membrane fabricated from an elastomeric material and an outer membrane fabricated from a hypoallergenic material. The inner surface of the inner membrane defines a cavity that conforms to and accommodates the users finger. The inner membrane is in contact with and enveloped by the outer membrane to form the cleansing device. The user inserts the finger into the cavity of the cleansing device, where the inner surface of the inner membrane contacts the inserted finger, and the outer surface of the outer membrane is exposed for cleaning the body cavity. The user introduces the enclosed finger into the body cavity for cleaning. A string attached between the outer surface of the inner membrane and the inner surface of the outer membrane enables removal of the cleansing device from the users finger.
