The present invention is directed to an autonomously powered vapor dispensing device comprising an intermediate basin (2) which allows the volatile liquid contained therein to impregnate a dispensing material by capillarity and dispense into the atmosphere and a heating element (4) which heats the intermediate basin (2) comprising the volatile liquid to force evaporation cyclically of the volatile liquid directly from the intermediate basin.
