The present invention relates to an innate immunity-enhancing and antiviral pharmaceutical composition containing Anethum graveolens extract as an active ingredient, an innate immunity-enhancing and antiviral functional health food containing Anethum graveolens extract as an active ingredient, an innate immunity-enhancing and antiviral feed composition containing Anethum graveolens extract as an active ingredient, and a method for enhancing innate immunity and antiviral activity in animals which includes administering Anethum graveolens extract into animals, excluding humans, that need innate immunity enhancement. An innate immunity-enhancing and antiviral Anethum graveolens composition according to the present invention exhibits antiviral activity- and innate immunity-enhancing effects and thus can be applied for preventing and treating bacterial and viral infectious diseases and widely used as, among other things, a medicine or functional health food for enhancing and modulating immune strength in immunocompromised or immunosuppresed patients and an innate immunity-enhancing and antiviral feed for strengthening the ability of animals to fight disease.
