A sensor system in which a sensor device is connected to a mobile phone or other information processing device to sense the properties of an object. An information processing device (100) which is a mobile phone and a first sensor device (210) are combined into a moisture meter. The information processing device (100) is provided with a conventional audio input terminal (103). The first sensor device (210) has a main body portion (211), a moisture sensor (212), and an output terminal (213). The main body portion (211) is provided with a conversion circuit which converts an output signal generated by the moisture sensor (212) concerning the moisture of an object to a converted signal which is a signal of a frequency band that can be received by the audio input terminal (103). The converted signal is transmitted from the output terminal (213), which has been inserted into the audio input terminal (103), to the information processing device (100).
