The invention relates to a hand held aroma smelling pouch, for dispensing an aromatic scent from a sample product, such as a batch of coffee beans, scented granules, tealeaves, etc. The smelling pouch comprises a flexible front panel and a flexible rear panel, said panels defining between them a sample product chamber and an air chamber, which chambers are separated by a barrier, said barrier defining one or more air passages that allow air to flow from one chamber to the other chamber. The air chamber holds a resilient member, such that the resilient member in combination with the front panel and rear panel forms an air pump, which air pump allows for urging air from the air chamber into the product chamber via the one or more air passages and out of the product chamber via an air inlet/outlet, by manually squeezing the air chamber.
