PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound which selectively modulates a sphingosine-1-phosphoric acid receptor, and an asymmetric synthesis method of such a compound.SOLUTION: A synthesis method of a compound containing an indane moiety having an asymmetric carbon at a 5 membered-ring of the indane moiety and being enantiomerically rich in the asymmetric carbon comprises the steps of: (i) providing a compound comprising an indane moiety, where the carbon at a 5 membered-ring of the indane moiety desired to have asymmetric substitution is oxo-substituted with such a carbon； (ii) reacting the compound with a chiral reagent selected from the group consisting of Corey-Bakshi-Shibata oxazaborolidine and chiral sulfinamide of RS(=O)NHin which R is selected from the group consisting of t-butyl, branched-chain Calkyl and Ccycloalkyl； and (iii) forming an asymmetric center with a carbon of the indane moiety previously bound to the oxo group, ether by reacting the compound with a suitable reducing agent along with the chiral reagent in the step (ii) or by reacting the reaction result of the compound with a suitable reducing agent.【課題】スフィンゴシン－１－リン酸受容体を選択的に変調する化合物、およびそのような化合物の不斉合成方法を提供する。【解決手段】 インダン部分の５員環に不斉炭素を有するインダン部分を含み、該不斉炭素に対して鏡像異性的に豊富である化合物の合成方法であって、（ｉ）インダン部分を含む化合物であって、不斉置換が望まれるインダン部分の５員環の炭素が、そのような炭素でオキソ置換されている化合物を提供する工程、（ｉｉ）前記化合物を、コーリー・バクシ・柴田オキサザボロリジンおよびＲがｔ－ブチル、分岐鎖Ｃ2-6アルキルおよびＣ3-8シクロアルキルからなる群より選択されるＲＳ（＝Ｏ）ＮＨ2のキラルスルフィンアミドからなる群より選択されるキラル試薬と反応させる工程、および（ｉｉｉ）前記化合物を工程（ｉｉ）における前記キラル試薬と共に適切な還元剤と反応させるか、または前記化合物の反応結果を適切な還元剤と反応させることによって、オキソ基に先に結合していた前記インダン部分の炭素で不斉中心を形成する工程、を有してなる方法。【選択図】なし
