The invention relates to a pharmaceutical or probiotic composition comprising at least one Lactobacillus strain with intestinal tropism, especially selected from the species Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus fermentum and Lactobacillus casei, used to stimulated juvenile growth in cases of malnutrition especially characterised by a protein deficiency. The strains can be selected from a vinegar fly model and/or a mouse model. The invention also relates to a method for probiotic treatment using said composition.La composition, pharmaceutique ou probiotique, comprend au moins une souche de Lactobacillus à tropisme intestinal, notamment choisie parmi les espèces Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus fermentum et Lactobacillus casei,, pour une utilisation visant à favoriser la croissance juvénile en cas de malnutrition. Il s'agit notamment d'une malnutrition caractérisée par une carence protéique. Les souches peuvent être sélectionnées sur un modèle drosophile et/ou sur un modèle souris. L'invention concerne aussi une méthode de traitement probiotique utilisant cette composition.
