PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope system in which the quantities of light emitted from a fluorescent substance and of light of other wavelengths such as blue light can be each independently controlled.SOLUTION: A dichroic mirror 72 reflects blue light and transmits green light to multiplex the blue light and the green light. A color imaging device 20 images the inside of a subject under illumination with the blue light and the green light and outputs an imaging signal. An image generation part 81 generates a pseudo color image expressing the subject with pseudo colors, on the basis of the imaging signal.
