In the device having a light transmitting portion, the light transmitting portion of the device is for treating myopia by transmitting a violet light having a wavelength in the range of 360 nm to 400 nm. Alternatively, in a device having a light emitting portion, which is selected from the group consisting of a lighting fixture, a display device, and a light irradiation device, the light emitting portion included in the device emits a violet light having a wavelength within a range of 360 nm to 400 nm.
