In particular, the present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for human or veterinary use, containing a therapeutically efficient amount of palmitoylethanolamide in the ultra-micronized form, wherein more than 90% by weight of palmitoylethanolamide has particle sizes lower than 6 microns, together with pharmaceutically acceptable excipients.
