PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical light source device which can be connected to an endoscope for a body cavity or an ophthalmic observation apparatus, sets optimal light volume (light intensity) of illumination light by detecting whether the endoscope for a body cavity or the ophthalmic observation apparatus is connected, and especially enables an excellent observation without hurting eyes of a subject in using the ophthalmic observation apparatus.SOLUTION: A lamp control part 153 sets the maximum light volume of illumination light supplied to an endoscope 200 for a body cavity by a light source lamp 110 at a first threshold value when a determination part 152 determines that the endoscope 200 for a body cavity is connected to a connecting part 120, and sets the maximum light volume of the illumination light supplied to an ophthalmic observation apparatus 300 by the light source lamp 110 at a second threshold value that is smaller than the first threshold value when the determination part 152 determines that the ophthalmic observation apparatus 300 is connected to the connecting part 120.COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT【課題】体腔用内視鏡と眼科用観察装置のそれぞれに接続可能であり、体腔用内視鏡と眼科用観察装置のいずれが接続されたかを検出して最適な照明光の光量(光度)を設定し、特に眼科用観察装置の使用時に被検者の眼を痛めることなく良好な観察を行うことができる医療用光源装置を得る。【解決手段】ランプ制御部153は、判定部152が接続部120に体腔用内視鏡200が接続されていると判定したときは、光源ランプ110が体腔用内視鏡200に供給する照明光の最大光量を第1の閾値に設定し、判定部152が接続部120に眼科用観察装置300が接続されていると判定したときは、光源ランプ110が眼科用観察装置300に供給する照明光の最大光量を第1の閾値よりも小さい第2の閾値に設定する。【選択図】図3
