There is provided an excellent method for preventing arthropod pests to protect a seed or a plant body growing from a seed against an arthropod pest.[Solution to Problem] A method for protecting a seed or a plant body growing from a seed against an arthropod pest, comprising the steps of: a) forming a furrow on soil； b) comprising placing a seed retaining thiacloprid at least on a surface thereof in the furrow formed in the above step, and applying a pesticide composition comprising one or more synthetic pyrethroid compounds selected from group I to the furrow formed in the above step； and c) closing the furrow, wherein the group I consists of esfenvalerate, beta-cypermethrin, theta-cypermethrin, deltamethrin, fenpropathrin, tau-fluvalinate, beta-cyfluthrin, acrinathrin, alpha-cypermethrin, bifenthrin, cycroprothrin, and ethofenprox.Omogućava se odličan postupak za suzbijanje artropodnih štetočina radi zaštite semena ili tela biljke koja raste iz semena protiv artropodnih štetočina.Postupak za zaštitu semena ili biljke iznikle iz semena, od artropodnih štetočina koji obuhvata sledeće korake: a) otvaranje brazde u zemljištu, b) polaganje semena koje barem na svojoj površini zadržava tiakloprid u brazdu otvorenu u prethodnom koraku i nanošenje kompozicije pesticida, koja sadrži jedno ili više sintetičkih jedinjenja odabranih iz grupe I, u brazdu otvorenu u prethodnom koraku i c) zatvaranje brazde, gde se I grupa sastoji od esfenvalerata, beta-cipermetrina, teta-cipermetrina, deltametrina, fenpropatrina, tau-fluvalinata, beta-ciflutrina, akrinatrina, alfa-cipermetrina, bifentrina, cikloprotrina i etofenproksa.
