PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods and devices that enable safe, rapid, short and straight access to the cerebral arteries for the introduction of interventional devices to treat acute ischemic stroke.SOLUTION: An arterial access device 110 comprises: an arterial access sheath 605 including a lumen adapted to receive blood from the artery, and a proximal end connected to a proximal extension part by a Y connector 620 so as to connect the lumen to a lumen of the proximal extension part 610； shunt that is connected to the lumen of the arterial access sheath by the Y connector connected to a blood flow line 615 and provides a pathway for blood to flow from the arterial access sheath to a return site； a blood flow control assembly adapted to regulate blood flow through the shunt； and a therapeutic device adapted to be introduced into the cerebral artery through a hemostasis valve 625 of the proximal extension part connected to the arterial access sheath and including a suction lumen adapted to aspirate the thrombotic blockage at the vicinity of the thrombotic blockage.【課題】急性虚血性脳卒中を治療する介入デバイスを導入するための、安全で、迅速で、短く且つ直線的な脳動脈へのアクセスを可能にする方法及びデバイスを提供する。【解決手段】動脈アクセスデバイス１１０は、動脈からの血液を受容するのに適した内腔と、内腔を近位延長部６１０の内腔に接続するようにＹコネクタ６２０によって近位延長部に接続される近位端と、を有する動脈アクセスシース６０５と、血流ライン６１５に接続されたＹコネクタによって、動脈アクセスシースの内腔に接続されており、動脈アクセスシースからリターンサイトに流れる血液の経路を提供するシャントと、シャントを通る血流を調節するのに適した血流制御アセンブリと、動脈アクセスシースに接続された近位延長部の止血バルブ６２５を通って脳動脈に導入するのに適した、血栓性閉塞の近傍で血栓性閉塞を吸引するのに適した吸引管腔を備えた治療デバイスと、から構成される。【選択図】図４
