A novel dietary supplement and nutritional aid and methods for the manufactureandadministration of the same are disclosed for the efficacious treatment and/orprevention ofdigestive tract ulcers in horses and other animals. The dietary supplement ofthe presentinvention is effective in treating and/or preventing gastric ulcers, and intreating coloniculcers as well. The ingredients include a polar liquid supplement, a solublefiber source, anda nutricine consisting of amino acids, and at least one of which is L-threonine and L-glutamine.The ingredients of the dietary supplement of the present invention whencombined provide a synergistic efficacy which greatly exceeds the sum of theefficiencies ofthe individual ingredients, making the dietary supplement highly effective inthe treatment ofdigestive tract ulcers.
