There is described a medical device in the nature of a clip comprising a bodyhaving alongitudinal axis, a tubular sidewall integrally attached to a perimeter ofthe body, a slot extendingparallel to the longitudinal axis, the slot penetrating the tubular sidewalland extending part waythrough the body, first and second longitudinal tubular gripping surfaces, thesecond longitudinaltubular gripping surface having an inner diameter that is different from aninner diameter of thefirst longitudinal tubular gripping surface, the slot extending through eachof the first and secondlongitudinal tubular gripping surfaces and first and second end surfaces, thefirst end surface beingperpendicular to the longitudinal axis, and the second end surface beingoriented at an obliqueangle relative to the longitudinal axis.
