The present disclosure provides a medical glass container and a method for manufacturing the same, in which a contact angle with an aqueous content is large, transparency is high, lubricity (slidability) is excellent, peeling of a silica (SiO2) component of glass, which is a base material of the container, does not easily occur, aggregation (absorption) of protein, which is an effective component of a medicine, does not easily occur, it is heat resistant, and peeling of a coat is suppressed. In the medical glass container according to the present disclosure, a coat is formed on at least a part of an inner wall of the glass container, wherein the coat is a diamond-like carbon film that does not contain silicon.
