The present invention provides a radiotherapy system and associated method which combines radiotherapy with an integrated imaging system (such as CT). Samples of imaging data are acquired at a higher frequency than the simultaneous pulses of radiation generated for therapy, and thus samples which include scattered therapeutic radiation can be discarded. The remaining samples of imaging data can be processed to provide images with reduced artefacts and increased signal-to-noise ratio.
