The processing circuitry is configured to obtain three-dimensional image data of a brain acquired by performing a magnetic resonance imaging process. The processing circuitry is configured to generate a projection image rendering a micro bleed or calcification occurring in the brain by performing a projecting process on the three-dimensional image data in a range limited on the basis of a shape of the brain. The processing circuitry is configured to output the projection image.
