PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical device which can ensure safety even if a member attached to the tip end of an operating wire inserted in a catheter is detached from the operating wire.SOLUTION: A medical device includes: an operating wire 14 which is inserted into a catheter 1 and can be moved forwards and backwards with respect to the catheter 1 in an insertion direction a tip end member 28 which is linked to the tip end side of the operating wire 14 and an actuating part 20 which is provided on the tip end side of the catheter 1 and is actuated by movement of the tip end member 28 by the pull of the operating wire 14.
