PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external composition for a screen foamer such as a pump foamer which can be used safely even in the case where the foamer is used in an unremoved mode after application.SOLUTION: An external composition for a screen foamer contains nonionic surfactant as a foaming component, and is in a solubilized state. In the external composition, the total sum of the content of ionic surfactant is 1 mass% or less, and the composition is used in an unremoved mode after application. The external composition is aqueous, and has an HLB value of nonionic surfactant at 9 or more. In the external composition, the nonionic surfactant contains one type or more surfactants selected from polyoxyethylene alkyl ether, polyoxyethylene hardened castor oil, polyoxyethylene fatty acid ester, polyoxyethylene sorbitan fatty acid ester, polyoxyethylene fatty acid glyceryl and the like.
