PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope with excellent insertion performance by making the curved shape of a curving part having a first curving part and a second curving part a smooth nearly curved line shape.
SOLUTION: The endoscope 1 has the first curving part 24 arranged in the front end side of an inserting part 11 and curved at least upward and downward, the second curving part 25 continuously connected to the proximal end side of the first curving part 24 via a joint part 26 and curved upward and downward, first curving wires 5U, 5D curving and operating the first curving part 24, second curving wires 7U, 7D curving and operating the second curving part 25, first wire threading coils 35U, 35D through which the first curving wires 5U, 5D are threaded, second wire threading coils 48U, 48D through which the second curving wire 7U, 7D are threaded, and is constituted by securing the front end parts of the first wire threading coils 35U, 35D to the joint part 26, and the front end parts of the second curving wires 7U, 7D are secured to a second curving wire fixing piece 4e constituting the first curving part 24 or the second curving part 25.
