A robust and self-healing coating has been developed by incorporating a thermally self-healing chemical coating on smooth and/or roughened solid. When the chemically coated solid is combined with a lubricating fluid, the material system is capable to repel a broad range of liquids and solids. The thermally self-healing chemical coating may be applied on various industrial metals, glass and plastics, and has shown exceptionally physical and chemical robustness as compared to state-of-the-art liquid-repellent coatings.Un revêtement solide et auto-cicatrisant a été mis au point grâce à la mise en place d'un revêtement chimique à auto-cicatrisation thermique sur un support solide lisse et/ou rugueux. Lorsque le support solide revêtu par voie chimique est combiné avec un fluide lubrifiant, ce système de matériau est capable de repousser un large éventail de substances liquides et solides. Ce revêtement chimique à auto-cicatrisation thermique peut être appliqué sur divers métaux industriels, le verre et le plastique, et a montré une exceptionnelle résistance physique et chimique par rapport aux revêtements hydrofuges de l'état de la technique.
