The invention relates to an endoscope for three-dimensional detection of an interior space (R) of a body, in which a projection device (1) for projecting a colour pattern onto a region (W) of the interior space (R) and a detecting device (3) for detecting an image of the colour pattern projected onto the region (W) are positioned at least in part in the distal end region of an elongate endoscope extent and the distal end region can be angled up to 180° in relation to the original elongate endoscope extent. A triangulation basis for evaluating images by means of active triangulation in order to generate 3D images of the region (W) can be simply and effectively enlarged in this manner. Such endoscopes can be used particularly advantageously in minimally invasive surgery or in industrial endoscopy.
