PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable work implement enabling an operator to easily check operation of a lock mechanism and preventing damage and operation failure of a connection device.SOLUTION: A portable work implement 1 includes: a connection pipe 21 connecting the tip of a rear operation pipe 7 and the base end of a front operation pipe 8 a lever 28 provided on the outer periphery of the connection pipe 21 and including a protrusion 28d engaged with a positioning hole 8a formed in the base end of the front operation pipe 8 and a rib 30 erected on the outer periphery of the connection pipe 21 and extending in the periphery of the lever 28 while surrounding the lever 28. The rib 30 is arranged such that in a state of the protrusion 28d engaged with the positioning hole 8a, the shape of the upper end of the rib 30 stays along the shape of the upper face of the lever 28.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
