The present disclosure relates to the use of cannabidiol (CBD) to reduce the frequency of total seizures in the treatment of “treatment resistant epilepsy” (TRE). In particular, the disclosure relates to the use of CBD to treat TRE when TRE is Drave syndrome； myoclonic absence seizure or febrile infection-related epilepsy syndrome (FIRES).
