NZ 601858 Disclosed is a method for diagnosing an ocular disease, or a predisposition to an ocular disease, associated with amyloid-beta-related pathological abnormalities or changes in the tissues of the visual system in a subject, comprising detecting immunospecific binding to amyloid-beta of a humanised antibody or an antigen-binding fragment thereof, which recognises and binds to amyloid-beta, in a sample, wherein the method includes the steps of: bringing the sample suspected to contain amyloid-beta protein into contact with the humanised antibody or antigen-binding fragment thereof allowing the humanised antibody or antigen-binding fragment thereof to form an immunological complex detecting formation of the immunological complex, such that the presence or absence of the immunological complex correlates with presence or absence of amyloid-beta protein and correlating the presence or absence of the immunological complex with the presence or absence of amyloid-beta protein in the sample wherein the humanised antibody or antigen-binding fragment thereof comprises: (a) a heavy chain variable region (&rdquoHCVR&rdquo) comprising, integrated into human- or primate-derived framework regions: a CDR1 comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1, a CDR2 comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 2, and a CDR3 comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 3 and (b) an LCVR comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 12 or (a) a light chain variable region (&rdquoLCVR&rdquo) comprising, integrated into human- or primate-derived framework regions, a CDR1 comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 4 a CDR2 comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 5, the amino acid sequence RVSNRFS, or the amino acid sequence KVSSRFS and a CDR3 comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 6 and (b) an HCVR comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 15 or (a) an HCVR comprising, integrated into human- or primate-derived framework regions: a CDR1 comp
