PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrocardiographic device capable of reliably recording an electrocardiogram by dissolving troublesomeness of selecting the channel number of an electrocardiogram and a malfunction caused by a wrong operation of selecting the channel number.SOLUTION: An impedance detection unit 124 detects impedance of plural terminals 111a, 111b, 111c, and 111d for connecting plural electrodes 11, 12, and 13. On the basis of an impedance detection result, the channel number for recording electrocardiograph is selected.
