PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underpants type disposable diaper which hardly causes an uncomfortable feeling and irritations to a skin by a side seal part and shows an excellent wearing feeling.
SOLUTION: The underpants type disposable diaper 1 includes a pair of side seal parts 8, 8 formed by fusing overlapped parts 7 where both side edge parts 6a of an abdominal side and both side edge parts 6b of a back side are overlapped with each other. The side seal part 8 includes a first seal region 81 in which a plurality of fusion parts 81 having the same length d1 in the longitudinal direction are arranged at a constant pitch P1 and one or more other seal regions 82, 83 in which a plurality of fusion parts 82, 83 having lengths d2, d3 in the longitudinal direction different from that of the fusion part 81 in the first seal region 81 are arranged at constant pitches P2, P3. The first seal region 81 is formed in the end of the side of a waist opening WO, and the length d1 of the fusion part 81 of the first seal region 81 is shorter than the lengths d2, d3 of the fusion parts 82, 83 of the other seal regions 82, 83.
